Future project

Delivering cooked meals to families living in poverty- purchased through donations

Food Packs

On a monthly basis, we deliver a food pack to families living in poverty. These are families identified to our organization by local authority services and local schools. The food pack typically contains non-
perishable items.

We are confident that we use the most cost- effective method of purchasing the items. We would aim to make 45 food packs. We have demographic data on the families we support and are able to tailor the food pack to individual needs. During celebratory festivals, we would add in presents and gifts to these packs.

A food pack includes a range of items, some of these are pasta ,rice, pasta sauces, Long life milk, tinned fruits and vegetables, biscuits, chocolate bars, multipack crisps, cereal, porridge, juices, juices cartons, potatoes, onions and chapati flour.

The average cost of a food pack is £20. The feedback suggests that once a month is not sufficient and as part of our growth we are aiming to increase this to fortnightly.

Crisis Support for Food

On an average of 2 times per week, our hotline/email address is contacted for emergency support. In this case, we would make a food pack as mentioned above and deliver this.

Delivering cooked meals

Every week we deliver cooked hot meals to each of the families identified by our organization that are living in poverty.
